Spam

AMSAT takes a light touch in spam filtering for our e-mail alias service. Since we have no provision to hold messages for later human evaluation, only the most obvious spam messages are filtered out. As ever, a compromise must be made, do you want to risk getting too much spam, or are you willing to tolerate some to ensure you don’t accidentally lose an important message? We have biased our system toward avoiding false positive spam deletions so that your ISP or e-mail client can do further processing and hold suspect messages in a “Spam” or “Junk” directory.
