Description

16Gb Raspberry Pi SD Card with Fox-in-a-Box software pre-installed – Now offering a choice of Version 3, which supports the Raspberry Pi 3B+ or Pi 4, or Beta Version 4 which supports the Raspberry Pi 5 and the CubeSatSim

Fox-in-a-Box is a small, easily-deployed Fox satellite telemetry receiver based on a Raspberry Pi 3B+ and a FUNcube Dongle Pro+. You can read about it in the AMSAT 2018 Symposium Proceedings, or you can find a somewhat less extensive description with parts list and instructions at

http://burnsfisher.com/AMSAT/FoxInABox

Get started by simply plugging this SD card into your Raspberry Pi booting it. Just a bit of configuration (your call and grid) required.

The website above also has an SD card image, but buying the SD card with the software pre-installed saves a lot of trouble and any additional proceeds go to Keeping Amateur Radio in Space.

Version 3 is the recommended version for satellite telemetry reception and for running on a Raspberry Pi 3B+ or Pi 4

Version 4 Beta is recommended for the CubeSatSim Ground Station or if you have a Raspberry Pi 5. Information about the Version 4 beta is available here https://github.com/alanbjohnston/CubeSatSim/wiki/FIABv4-Beta
