When you are using the satellites, you will need to know your Maidenhead Grid Square. This locates you on the earth with a either a four- or six-character string of alternating letters and numbers. For example, FN31pr. When you make a contact with another ham on a satellite, they will want to know your grid square. Here are some resources to help you find you Maidenhead Grid Square:
