SB SAT @ AMSAT $ANS-007.01 PHASE 3-D ANTENNA MANUFACTURING HELP NEEDED HR AMSAT NEWS SERVICE BULLETIN 331.01 FROM AMSAT HQ SILVER SPRING, MD JANUARY 7, 1996 TO ALL RADIO AMATEURS BT BID: $ANS-007.01 The Phase 3-D International Satellite Project Team has an urgent requirement for someone with the talent, time and tools to manufacture a spun aluminum pan (sized 22.0 inches in diameter and 3.0 inches deep) from 0.050 inch thick sheet aluminum. This will be a straight-sided device with no rim on the open end. This dish will be used to accommodate a design improvement for the flight model 1.2 GHz antenna for Phase 3-D. The new antenna design has a 46% larger area and 1.70dB more gain for L Band. This is also the maximum size dish that we can fit onto the top of the spacecraft for L Band. Anyone who can provide this material should quickly contact Keith Baker at "kb1sf@amsat.org" or Dick Jansson at "wd4fab@amsat.org" via E-mail. You can also fax your proposal(s) directly to Dick Jansson at 407-644-9782. ANS thanks Keith Baker, KB1SF, Executive Vice President AMSAT-North America for this bulletin. /EX SB SAT @ AMSAT $ANS-007.02 SATELLITE FREQUENCIES HR AMSAT NEWS SERVICE BULLETIN 331.01 FROM AMSAT HQ SILVER SPRING, MD JANUARY 7, 1996 TO ALL RADIO AMATEURS BT BID: $ANS-007.02 Quite a few folks have been asking about the frequencies; heres the list out of Amsat-UK's "Guide to Oscar Operating". glue it to the wall Satellite Uplink Downlink Beacons Notes OSCAR 10 435.025-175 145.83-98 145.81/987 OSCAR 11 (UoSat 2) 145.825 Experimental beacon 435.025 , 2401.5 MHz beacons OSCAR 13 (mode B) 435.425-575 145.825-975 145.813/985 (mode S) 435.603-639 2400.711-747 2400.664 OSCAR 16 (PacSat) 145.90-96 437.051 437.026/051 S beacon 2401.143 OSCAR 17 (Dove) 145.825 S beacon 2401.221 OSCAR 18 (WeberSat) 437.102 spare tx on 437.075 OSCAR 19 (LUSat) 145.84-90 437.126 437.126/154 cw on 437.127 OSCAR 20 (Fuji) 145.9-146 435.8-.9 435.797/91 .797=cw, .910=packet OSCAR 22 (UoSat 5) 145.9/.975 435.120 435.120 OSCAR 23 (Kitsat 1) 145.85/90 435.175 435.175 OSCAR 25 (Kitsat 2) 145.87/98 436.500 spare tx 435.175 OSCAR 26 145.875/90/925/95 435.822 secondary tx 435.867 OSCAR 27 (Amrad) 145.850 436.797 RS 10 (mode A) 145.86-90 29.36-40 29.357/403 Robot uplink 145.820 (mode K) 21.16-20 29.36-40 29.357/403 Robot uplink 21.120 (mode T) 21.16-20 145.86-90 145.857/903 modes KA & KT also RS 11 (mode A) 145.91-95 29.41-45 29.407/453 Robot uplink 145.830 (mode K) 21.21-25 29.41-45 29.407/453 Robot uplink 21.130 (mode T) 21.21-25 145.91-95 145.907/953 modes KA & KT also RS 12 (mode A) 145.91-95 29.41-45 29.408/454 Robot uplink 145.831 (mode K) 21.21-25 29.41-45 29.408/454 Robot uplink 21.129 (mode T) 21.21-25 145.91-95 145.912/959 modes KA & KT also RS 13 (mode A) 145.96-146 29.46-50 29.458/504 Robot uplink 145.840 (mode K) 21.26-30 29.46-50 29.458/504 Robot uplink 21.138 (mode T) 21.26-30 145.96-146 145.862/908 modes KA & KT also RS 15 (mode A) 145.85-89 29.36-40 29.353/398 ANS thanks Richard W L Limebear G3RWL for this news item /EX
