SB SAT @ AMSAT $ANS-087.01 LATEST AMATEUR SATELLITES FEARED LOST HR SPECIAL AMSAT NEWS SERVICE BULLETIN 87.01 FROM AMSAT HQ SILVER SPRING, MD MARCH 28, 1995 TO ALL RADIO AMATEURS BT BID: $ANS-087.01 AT 0900Z March 28 a Russian START rocket, based on the SS-25 intercontinental ballistic missile, roared into space carrying three satellites - one an Israeli amateur radio satellite built at the Technion-Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa TECHSAT- 1, another a Mexican built MICROSAT called UNAMSAT-1. It was built at the Autonomous University of Mexico under the direction of XE1TU. The third satellite was a Russian constructed spacecraft, the purpose of which is unknown to AMSAT. After several passes of these three satellite, no signals have been reported from any of them. ANS will report further as information is received. /EX
