There are two versions of the logo here. One was created by me in
May 2001, using my personal judgement about the proportions. The
other was created in May 2003, using the official artwork as submitted
to the Trademark Office (in 1969) as a template. It is not an exact
match for the official artwork, but is much closer than the older
version.

Files with the ".ai" extension are in Adobe Illustrator 9 format.
They are resolution-independent drawings, and may be scaled to any
size without loss of crispness. If you have access to Illustrator,
that is the best way to create a logo in the size you need.

The large .gif files are very large bitmaps. If you don't have access
to Illustrator but do have image editing tools, you should be able to
create a high-quality logo by scaling one of these images.

The file logo150sky.gif is the logo as it usually appears on the home
page on http://www.amsat.org. It has a sky-blue background (#E0FFFF)
and has been anti-aliased to that background color for crispness. It
won't look right on any other background color without some work.
