Please be sure to use AMSAT's name; that helps us get the conference rooms without charge.

Portland, located in southern Maine, sits on a peninsula that juts out into spectacular Casco Bay. Portland and the Greater Portland Area offer numerous diverse activities. Whether you are walking on a sandy beach or climbing on rocks along the shore, shopping in Portland's Old Port area or at L.L.Beans in Freeport, taking the children to the Children's Museum or for a ride on the Maine Narrow Gauge RR, visiting the Portland Museum of Art or Longfellow's boyhood home, visiting the historic Portland Head Light or eating Maine lobster at a local restaurant, you will find Maine to be a destination for scenic beauty and a wealth of historic and cultural offerings.

We look forward to hosting the convention and having you visit our beautiful state. We recommend that you visit the Portland, Maine Convention & Visitors Bureau website for more information about Portland's attractions and history.

The symposium registration form is now available, and was also published in the July/August issue of the AMSAT Journal.

US Air is offering a discount fare for the symposium. Reference AMSAT's Gold File #73171596. For domestic reservations, call US Air at 800-428-4322 or call AMSAT's travel agent, Jim O'Neil, at 800-322-7032 extension 151.
