ISS amateur radio status (Aug 17)

The packet system on 145.80 is now working and John Phillips had a
successful school contact this morning (1544 UTC) with the Higgins Institute
in Tempe, Arizona.

The crew is scheduled to perform a spacewalk tomorrow and the amateur radio
equipment will be shutdown about 1200 UTC to support that activity. The
equipment is expected to return to service once post EVA reconfiguration
actions are accomplished.
