ISS STATUS - 16 AUGUST 2005

SUBMITTED BY ARTHUR N1ORC - AMSAT A/C #31468

A Russian carbon dioxide (CO2) removal system that shut down Thursday
afternoon on the Station remains off despite three attempts at
restarting it. Over the weekend, the crew performed some diagnostics
that indicated the problem may lie within the unit's electronic control
circuitry. Meanwhile, a U.S. CO2 removal assembly continues to keep CO2
partial pressure at low levels.
