Re: Shuttle crew might be active on 2 meters

Good morning,
Well. Andy Thomas was on voice early this morning. I heard a couple of short
QSO's between Andy and some VK's.
At around 15.48 UTC on a pass that had left Australia and was moving out
into the Pacific which was very, very low in elevation from my QTH in
Papakura, Auckland, New Zealand, I also made contact with Andy on board the
ISS. In fact, Andy had just called with a ' ... is there anyone on this
frequency? ... ' and much to my pleasure, Andy heard my call ZL1DK in reply.
This time I did remember to push the record button also (missed that once
before) but have the clip on 2 different computers at home now. That pass
was very low on the horizon from home, just a couple of degree, and the QSO
lasted just a few seconds but I was thrilled with another contact with one
of the wonderful team in space, I've watched much of their activities so
far. Well done guys and girls.
73,
David ZL1DK
