*Expedition 10 Continues Preparations for Upcoming Spacewalk
*As the start time for their March 28 spacewalk

draws near, the crewmembers of Expedition 10 spent the day preparing 
their spacesuits and equipment for the journey outside the Station.

Early in the day, Commander Leroy Chiao completed charging the second 
battery pack for the Russian Orlan spacesuit while Flight Engineer 
Salizhan Sharipov attended to the relocation and reinstallation of a 
Russian radiobiology experiment.

After taking a break for some physical exercise and lunch, both 
crewmembers began a preliminary fit check of the Orlan suits. The crew 
also performed leak checks and valve tests for each suit and its cooling 
loop and gas separation system. Sharipov installed helmet lights on one 
suit and tested the previously installed lights on the other suit.

On Thursday, to ensure that all components of the Orlan spacesuits are 
functioning properly, Chiao and Sharipov will don their spacesuits for a 
full systems, telemetry and biomedical checkout.

The Expedition 10 crew's spacewalk is scheduled to begin Monday at 12:25 
a.m. CST (0625 GMT). Live coverage will be available on NASA TV

Sunday (0500 GMT Monday).
