* Station Crew Conducts Drill, Inspects Hatches*
On Thursday, Expedition 10 Commander Leroy Chiao and Flight Engineer
Salizhan Sharipov conducted the second fire drill exercise of their stay
aboard the International Space Station. The primary goal of the routine
one-hour drill is to provide the crewmembers with the most realistic
emergency training possible.
Inside the Station's U.S. segment, Chiao spent time inspecting and
cleaning hatch seals. Meanwhile, Sharipov continued efforts in the
Zvezda Service Module to set up a Russian satellite navigation system.
On the science front, the crew monitored the progress of science
experiments, maintained ISS systems and exercised.
