* Expedition 10 Takes Part in Biomedical Experiments*
Thursday's work schedule began before breakfast for the Expedition 10
crew. Commander Leroy Chiao and Flight Engineer Salizhan Sharipov
participated in a Russian biomedical experiment that is conducted every
30 days.
Later in the day, Sharipov participated in a Russian experiment studying
the heart at rest during space flight. He was assisted by Chiao, who
served as the crew medical officer.
Inside the Zvezda Service Module, Sharipov also connected cables for a
navigation system that will be used when the Automated Transfer Vehicle
arrives later this year.
Chiao took routine air samples in Zvezda and the U.S. Destiny Laboratory
Module.
Exp 10 also conducted a radio contact with the Fairview Elementary,
Mount Prospect, Ill. I did catch the last hpart of the answers.
