* EarthKAM Operations Continue on Space Station*
Work continued Thursday aboard the International Space Station with an
experiment that allows students to get an orbital view of Earth. The
experiment, called EarthKAM
<http://www.nasa.gov/centers/marshall/news/background/facts/earthkam.html>
(Earth Knowledge Acquired by Middle school students), enables thousands
of students to photograph and examine Earth from a space crew's
perspective. Using the Internet, the students control a special digital
camera mounted onboard the Station.
In other activities, the Expedition crew continued runs with a
Russian/German materials science experiment and navigation software
upgrades.
