Submitted by Arthur N1ORC - Amsat A/C #31468

* Expedition 10 Works in Progress*
The Expedition 10 crew began the final workweek of 2004 by removing
docking equipment to allow full access to the newly arrived Progress 16
spacecraft. The Progress arrived at the International Space Station on
Christmas Day, delivering more than 2.5 tons (2,268 kilograms) of cargo,
including propellant, oxygen and air to help maintain the Station's
atmosphere, water, spare parts and experiment hardware. It also
delivered holiday presents and about a 112-day supply of food for the crew.

Over the next two days, Expedition 10 Commander Leroy Chiao and Flight
Engineer Salizhan Sharipov will continue efforts to integrate the
Progress and ISS systems. They will also continue to unload the cargo ship.

In other activities, the crewmembers monitored science experiments,
maintained ISS systems and exercised.
