* Crew Works With Biomedical Experiments*
The Expedition 10 crew began Wednesday aboard the International Space
Station by participating in a Russian biomedical assessment that is
studying changes in the human body during space flight. Later in the
day, Flight Engineer Salizhan Sharipov took part in a Russian
cardiovascular test studying activity in the heart in space.
Commander Leroy Chiao continued to support the checkout of the Active
Rack Isolation System hardware and halted the recharging of
Extravehicular Mobility Unit (U.S. spacesuit) batteries. He also filled
out the weekly food questionnaire, which allows personnel on the ground
keep track of Chiao's nutritional intake on the Station.
