EXP 10 STATUS - 17 NOVEMBER 2004

Submitted by Arthur N1ORC - Amsat A/C #31468

* Progress 15 Raises Space Station's Orbit*
The International Space Station received an orbital boost Wednesday from
the ISS Progress 15 cargo ship. Flight controllers commanded the
Progress engines to fire at 8:12 a.m. CST (1412 GMT). The maneuver
raised the Station by 1.6 miles (2.6 kilometers) to place it in a more
favorable orbit for the arrival of the ISS Progress 16 cargo ship next
month. That was slightly less than the expected altitude increase.
Russian ground specialists are investigating the cause of the decreased
performance of the Progress burn.

Inside the Space Station, the Expedition 10 crew checked out a Russian
spacesuit inside the Pirs Docking Compartment and took part in a
standard emergency medical drill. The crewmembers also monitored Space
Station systems and oversaw science operations.
