* Crew Works with Ultrasound Experiment, Preps for ISS Reboost*
Expedition 10 Commander Leroy Chiao and Flight Engineer Salizhan
Sharipov worked with the Diagnostic Ultrasound in Microgravity (ADUM)
medical experiment again on Tuesday. ADUM seeks to better understand the
ability to quickly and remotely transmit medical data from the Station.
The application may also offer benefits on Earth, allowing for much
quicker injury diagnosis for patients at remote locations by doctors
based at hospitals.
Chiao and Sharipov also prepared for Wednesday's maneuver designed to
raise the Station's orbit. Flight controllers will fire the engines on
the ISS Progress 15 cargo ship about 8:13 a.m. CDT CST (1413 GMT) for
almost nine minutes. The maneuver is slated to raise the Station's orbit
by 2.5 miles (4 kilometers) to place it in the correct orbit for the
arrival of the ISS Progress 16 cargo ship next month.
