* Expedition Crews Work Together on Space Station*
Aboard the International Space Station, the Expedition 9 and 10 crews
tackled a busy schedule Monday. During their third day of activities,
Expedition 9 Commander Gennady Padalka and NASA ISS Science Officer Mike
Fincke continued handover activities with their replacements --
Expedition 10 Commander Leroy Chiao and Flight Engineer Salizhan Sharipov.
Expedition 10 will officially take charge of the ISS on Saturday when
the hatch closes between the Station and the Soyuz carrying the
Expedition 9 crew to Earth. Undocking is set for 4:08 p.m. CDT (2108
GMT) Saturday and landing is scheduled for 7:36 p.m. CDT Saturday (0036
GMT Sunday) in Kazakhstan. Returning to Earth with Padalka and Fincke
will be Russian Space Forces Test Cosmonaut Yuri Shargin, who arrived at
the Station with Expedition 10.
In other activities Monday, Chiao and Fincke worked inside the Quest
Airlock to flush water cooling lines in a U.S. spacesuit. Padalka and
Sharipov performed maintenance on the Russian Elektron oxygen generation
system. Shargin conducted experiments.
