*Expedition 9 Makes Progress in Cargo Transfer
*The Expedition 9 crewmembers continued to transfer cargo Wednesday from
the ISS Progress 14 spacecraft to the International Space Station. The
Progress delivered 2.5 tons of food, fuel and equipment to Commander
Gennady Padalka and NASA ISS Science Officer Mike Fincke on May 27.
Padalka and Fincke are scheduled to turn their attention to spacewalk
preparations on Thursday. They will work with their Russian Orlan
spacesuits and the Pirs Docking Compartment. The objective of the June
15 extravehicular activity is to replace the failed Remote Power
Controller Module (RPCM) on the S0 Truss. The RPCM is responsible for
the temporary loss of Control Moment Gyroscope No. 2 in April. The
gyroscope is one of four that control the ISS' orientation.
