*ISS Crew Handover Activities Continue*
Aboard the International Space Station, Expedition 8 Commander Michael
Foale and Flight Engineer Alexander Kaleri continued handover activities
with their replacements, Expedition 9 Commander Gennady Padalka and NASA
ISS Science Officer Mike Fincke.
Expedition 8 is wrapping up a six-month stay on the Station, and
Expedition 9 is beginning a tour of duty that will end in October.
Foale, Kaleri and European Space Agency Astronaut André Kuipers are
scheduled to leave the ISS and return to Earth on April 29.
Kuipers continued to work with science experiments. Kuipers flew to the
ISS with Expedition 9 under an agreement between ESA and the Federal
Space Agency of Russia. Fincke charged batteries associated with
Kuipers' experiments.
In other activities, Kaleri replenished water in the Elektron oxygen
generation system, and Foale filled out the weekly food questionnaire
that keeps track of his nutritional intake.
