*Station Crew Conducts Spacesuit Test*
Expedition 8 Commander Michael Foale and Flight Engineer Alexander
Kaleri conducted a spacesuit test Thursday in preparation for their Feb.
26 spacewalk.
They put on their Russian Orlan spacesuits and tested their ability to
enter the hatch through the Soyuz spacecraft in case there is a problem
re-entering the ISS through the Pirs Docking Compartment
</station/assembly/elements/pirs/index.html>.
The spacewalk is slated to begin at 3 p.m. CST (2100 GMT) Feb. 26. NASA
TV </realdata/nasatv/index.html>'s coverage will begin at 2 p.m. (2000
GMT). This will be the first ISS spacewalk conducted by a two-member crew.
In other activities Thursday, Foale worked with a protein crystal growth
experiment in the Microgravity Science Glovebox. Kaleri sent to Earth
data he had collected for a Russian plant growth experiment
