*Cargo Transfer Continues; Crew Test Fires Progress Thrusters*
For the third straight day, the Expedition 8 crew's schedule Thursday
included cargo transfers. Expedition 8 Commander Michael Foale and
Flight Engineer Alexander Kaleri continued to unload the newly arrived
Progress </station/assembly/elements/progress/index.html> 13 cargo ship.
The Progress, which arrived Jan. 31, delivered 5,171 pounds (2,346
kilograms) of fresh food, clothes, spare parts and other equipment for
the Station.
The crew also tested the Progress' thrusters. The thrusters will be used
in the future to raise the Station's orbit.
On the science front, Kaleri set up equipment for a Russian radiobiology
experiment. Foale prepared for upcoming activities with the Cellular
