*Expedition 8 Unpacks Progress *
Expedition 8 Commander Michael Foale and Flight Engineer Alexander
Kaleri returned to a full workload Tuesday after enjoying well-deserved
day of light duty. They spent the bulk of their time Tuesday unloading
the newly arrived Progress
</station/assembly/elements/progress/index.html> 13 cargo ship. The
Progress arrived at the International Space Station at 7:13 a.m. CST
(1313 GMT) Saturday. Docking occurred as the two spacecraft flew over
Central Asia. Progress 13, which is docked to the aft end of the Zvezda
Service Module </station/assembly/elements/sm/index.html>, delivered
5,171 pounds (2,346 kilograms) of fresh food, clothes, spare parts and
other equipment for the Station.
In non-Progress related activities, Foale and Kaleri conducted their
seventh session with a Russian medical assessment that included calf
volume and body mass measurements. They also monitored ISS systems and
science operations.
