Patrick,
The Kenwood radio has been modified to support up to 25 watts maximum
output. If the crew has the system configured with the default
capabilities, they should be using 10 watts of power (medium power on the
Kenwood).
The crew really doesn't have the time to look at messages, so I would not
send them one. We are just lucky that the crew have been able to fire up
the Kenwood system.
Another topic,---we have a request in to go back to the nominal frequency
pair (145.80 down/145.99 up). We are not sure when this will happen, but
be prepared for the change as you were for the simplex change.
Enjoy!

Happy holidays to all
I have general questions regarding ISS packet
1. What is current power output setting of kenwood 700 radio?
2. Is the crew capable of viewing messages if we send them?
Thank you for replies and what a wonderful gift to have the ISS back on
the air.
