SEVENTH SPACE STATION CREW AVAILABLE FOR INTERVIEWS

Back on Earth, only three weeks after more than six
months in space, the seventh crew of the International Space
Station, Commander Yuri Malenchenko and NASA Station Science
Officer Ed Lu, are available for satellite interviews from
6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. EST Friday. The interviews will broadcast
live on NASA Television.

Malenchenko and Lu were the first two-man crew to live aboard
the Station. They're also the first resident crew to travel
to-and-from the orbiting laboratory aboard a Russian Soyuz
spacecraft. Their mission, designated Expedition 7, launched
on April 26 from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan and
landed Oct. 27 in Kazakhstan.

Lu, a PhD in applied physics from Stanford University,
considers Honolulu and Webster, N.Y., his hometowns.
Malenchenko, a Ukrainian, is a colonel in the Russian Air
Force.

Video highlights of Lu and Malenchenko's stay aboard the
Station will air on NASA TV beginning at 6 a.m. EST Nov. 21.
Media interested in interviewing Lu and Malenchenko must
contact Stephanie Zeluck at NASA's Johnson Space Center at:
281/483-9071 or use her pager: 713/508-0581.

NASA Television is available on AMC-9, transponder 9C, C-Band,
