Plans for the long-distance wedding between Russian Cosmonaut 
Yuri Malenchenko, currently ensconced in the International Space 
Station (ISS), and his fiance, the earth-bound Ekaterina Dmitriev, 
appeared to have been grounded Friday when a spokesperson for 
Rosaviokosmos, the Russian space agency, said such a ceremony 
violates the Russian law requiring both the bride and groom be at the 
same place at the same time for the ceremony.
