SPACEWALK COVERAGE ON NASA TV

The activities of the new residents aboard the
International Space Station and a preview of extravehicular
operations will be discussed during a Mission Status
Briefing at 2 p.m. EST on Dec. 10 at the Johnson Space
Center.

Station managers and flight controllers will answer
questions during the multi-center briefing. Participants:
* Melissa Gard, Expedition Six Increment Manager
* Norm Knight, ISS Flight Director
* Darryl Schuck, Expedition Six EVA Officer

Expedition Six Commander Ken Bowersox, Flight Engineer
Nikolai Budarin and NASA Space Station Science Officer Don
Pettit arrived on the Station aboard the space Shuttle
Endeavour Nov. 25 for their four-month mission.

Bowersox and Budarin will conduct a 6 1/2-hour spacewalk on
Dec. 12. They will exit out of the Quest Airlock to install
the newly delivered Port One (P1) Truss segment and to
conduct other work to prepare components for future assembly
flights. It will be the first time a Russian cosmonaut wears
a U.S. spacesuit out of Quest.

The spacewalk will begin at approximately 9:30 a.m. EST on
Dec. 12, and it will be covered on NASA TV with commentary
and available downlink television. Coverage begins at 7 a.m.
EST.

NASA TV is on GE-2, Transponder 9C, vertical polarization at
85 degrees West longitude, 3880 MHz, with audio at 6.8 MHz.
