UPDATE TO SPACE STATION RESUPPLY-SHIP ACTIVITIES FOR NASA TV

To ensure improved communications for data transmission, International
Space Station
(ISS) flight controllers decided to move the undocking of the Russian
Progress 7
resupply ship from the ISS one orbit later on Tuesday, June 25. NASA
Television
coverage of the undocking with commentary and available TV through
Russian ground
stations will now begin at 4 a.m. EDT, with undocking planned at 4:23
a.m.

Commentary will originate from the International Space Station flight
control room at
NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston.

The Progress 7 ship, which delivered supplies to the ISS several months
ago, will
undock from the Zvezda Service Module's aft docking port.

The next day, on June 26, the new Progress 8 resupply vehicle will be
launched from
the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan for a three-day ride to the ISS.
There will be
no coverage of the launch on NASA TV.

On Saturday, June 29, Progress 8 will link up to the Zvezda module at
2:25 a.m. EDT
with commentary and coverage on NASA TV beginning at 2 a.m. EDT along
with
available TV.

NASA TV can be found on GE-2, Transponder 9C, vertical polarization at 85
degrees
West longitude, 3880 MHz, with audio at 6.8 MHz.
