NASA TV COVERAGE OF ISS SUPPLY-CRAFT DEPARTURE, ARRIVAL
NASA Television will broadcast the undocking of a
Russian Progress supply vehicle from the International Space
Station (ISS) and the arrival of a new Progress craft to the
station on Tuesday, March 19, and Sunday, March 24.
The Progress 6 vehicle, which delivered supplies to the ISS
late last year, will undock at 12:43 p.m. EST Tuesday, March
19, with commentary and coverage on NASA TV beginning at
12:30 p.m.
Two days later, on March 21, the seventh Progress dedicated
to outfitting and supplying the station with food, clothing
and other equipment, will be launched at 3:13 p.m. EST from
the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. No television coverage
will be available for the launch.
However, its arrival at the station on March 24 will be
carried live on NASA TV with commentary beginning at 3:30
p.m. EST. Docking to the Zvezda Service Module is scheduled
for 4 p.m. EST.
On board the ISS, Expedition Four Commander Yury Onufrienko,
and Flight Engineers Carl Walz and Dan Bursch are in the
fourth month of a planned five-month mission, awaiting the
early April launch of Atlantis on the STS-110 mission to
deliver the centerpiece truss structure for the complex,
which will be mounted on the Destiny Laboratory.
NASA TV can be found on GE-2, Transponder 9C, vertical
polarization at 85 degrees West longitude, 3880 MHz, with
audio at 6.8 MHz.
