OK, first step is for someone to hire me so I can afford to fly again. :-)

I'd take my VX-5 with a recorder up to 10,000 for the duration of a 
weekend pass. (I don't think I can get the Cardinal all the way up to 
14,000, even though the service ceiling is stated as 14,600.)
