Hi James,
In easy terms, when the shuttle docks with the ISS , the mass of the ISS
has now been increased and the orbit changes. This results in a different
orbit that's a bit higher and with a later aos. A little bit like swinging
a baseball around you vs a bowling ball if you forgive that analogy.
