I was able to work AO-51's QRP transponder yesterday with 500mW and a 
homebrew antenna - 3 element yagi on 2m and 5 element on 70cm.  I need 
to get some kind of portable recorder now, for recording the passes - I 
missed the chap's callsign twice due to local (acoustic) noise.
