Re: FO-29 and Field Day?

According to the schedule posted by Mineo JE9PEL earlier, FO-29 will be
fired up on the 02:31Z pass over Japan. It will remain in the light as it
comes down the Atlantic. So that means around 03:00Z, FO-29 will come in
range of the far east US and should still be on. It will be a pretty low
pass but it will be well in range of Europe so contacts with DX stations
will be posible (DX stations can participate in Field Day by giving their
station class and section "DX" although they can't submit their entries.)
When the bird gets down to about the latitude of New York City, it will
enter the eclipse and turn off shortly after, as the batteries are not in
good shape.
