Re: Icom 910H



Hey, that's me an over-the-hill ex cold-war commie with my much loved 
FT-847!  Actually, since I live in Russian America (what Alaska was 
before 1867), I guess the moniker fits ;-)

Since the FT-847 is out of production, I suspect that when P3E 
launches or near to then, Yaesu will launch a replacement to the 
FT-847.  Maybe they can buy up some old Collins cabinets and make 
them really "retro"!

Of course the really smart move would be an SDR-based satellite rig! 
Small black box with coax connectors and USB or Firewire I/F...and 
sell it for $349.95 (dream on).
