You can use a lot less gas by using a directional antenna DF work. Then use
the savings to buy a 3 element yagi and attenuator, like the ARROW beam.

Then you can also use it to talk/hear the LEO sats with a hand held.
To the original question - Perhaps he has an echolink type node on that
frequency?
