Hi Andrew.
Yes, that's right, I did use an external USB DVD drive. Just follow the
instructions in the manual. Another good resource is www.eeeuser.com
I installed XP on to the C: drive, then moved the windows temp folders, and
others to my D: drive. My d: is a 8GB SD card. I have also installed
satpc32, Orbintron, Office etc to the SD card to save space on the main
drive.
