Looks like you're entering the coordinates incorrectly. APRS  
interprets 4251.71N/08813.40W to be 42 degrees 51.71 minutes north,  
88 degrees, 13.40 minutes west.  The GPS is giving you numbers in  
degrees only: 42.5171 degrees north,  88.1340 degrees west.  If you  
convert that to 42° 31.026' N, 88° 8.04' W, you'll be OK.
