[amsat-bb] AO-51 Sputnik 50th Anniversary Event

Good Evening,

Everything is set for our Special Event on Wednesday night. Please listen on 
the following passes of AO-51 over North America to hear original Sputnik 1 
telemetry via AO-51:

October 3, ~2350 to ~2358 UTC
October 4, ~0127 to ~0145 UTC
                   ~0308 to ~0326 UTC
                   ~0452 to ~0503 UTC

>From ~2350 to ~0505 UTC AO-51 will not be available outside of the Sputnik 
downlink over North America.

The downlink frequency will be 435.300 plus or minus doppler shift, and the 
downlink power will be higher than the normal repeater levels.

There will be a nice QSL certificate available by sending reception reports 
and a 9"x12" SASE to 3375 Taper Ave, San Jose, CA 95124, USA. Please allow 
several weeks for turnaround time.

I hope everyone enjoys this event, and thanks to all that have helped put it 
together.
