[amsat-bb] Large quantity of RG-62/U on eBay

AMSAT members, and LEO satellite antenna builders:

K5OE's article in the January / February 1999 issue of The AMSAT Journal shows RG-62/U used in the construction of the 'Texas Potato Masher' antenna for LEO satellites.

RG-62/U was used for many years as the physical media between IBM cluster controllers (3174/3274) and 3270 terminals.  So this cable was very common is IBM data centers until past decade as mainframe access has moved from IBM's SNA to open standard LAN technologies.
RG-62/U 93 ohm coaxial cable (95% braid coverage) being sold in 100 and 250 foot spools.
