The subject SATgates are the old PACSAT (not Pcsat) BBS systems.

The Global APRS internet (Igate) and "satgate" system remains.
You can send a one-line packet email from just about anywhere at
any time on any APRS frequency, and the email should arrive by
email just about anywhere.
