Jeff,

My e-mail has been down for a couple of days, but in case you didn't get a
reply, the birdie is on 436.8, i.e. AO-27 and SO-50.  Still there, and
according to a Kenwood tech rep, it isn't that easy to fix, and won't be.  I
use another rig, but some have reported that a mast mounted preamp allows
them to work it.
