Here here. Finally a rational suggestion. Basically two satellites in
one. If the experimental section screws up it won't affect the users
communication sat. If the experimental works, fine. But the main
objective should be the safety of the commo sat for the users. If the
SDR radio does not work it should not be able to threaten the
operation of the commo sat portion of Eagle.
Then there would be two ground stations in effect. one the U/V and
possibly a L/S linear for our users' commo needs. And the
experimental station to handle the microwave digital ops.
