Scott,

Switchers normally use a 12 DC relay.  Unpowered, you get one direction,
powered the other.  Which is the unpowered default can depend on the
manufacturer, and/or how you wire it up.  Cushcraft has the installation
drawings on their web site, but I wasn't able to find the default value.
