Joint Response to Ofcom 10 GHz Sell-Off Proposals

An initial joint submission from the RSGB, AMSAT-UK and UK Microwave Group has
been made to the UK Regulator Ofcom in response to the 10-40 GHz Spectrum Award
process.

This first submission is in the form of an Illustrated Backgrounder for the
benefit of Ofcom and other interested Stakeholders and describes current and
planned systems in the 10 GHz Amateur Satellite section at 10.45-10.50 GHz
where there is an overlap with the Ofcom Award.

Anyone can respond to the consultation - it is not restricted to UK nationals.
There is no need to answer all the questions in the response form (page 6). A
response to Question 1 that relates to 10 GHz would suffice. The deadline is
7th September and a pre-formatted reply form can be downloaded from
