Re: super capacitors

 Hello all,

the super-caps are a good idea, but my big experience on circuits with
these capacitors
is not good.
I've seen hundred times these capacitors to have disgorge the inside liquid
around.
This happens quite often, so it is not exception but unfortunately the rule.
I noticed also
the "life-time" of these caps is very short. On various commercial
equipments does not
exceed the 5 years for the 1/3 of super-caps.
Of course, I'm talking for super-caps on commercial units, not for
space-use. But, if we
compare the usual NiCad with these for space-use, in practice the
differences are not so big
(unfortunately for amateur satellites!).
So, if we looking for something in order to help the Satellite's Power -
system, sorry but, I have some objections here about super-caps.

Just keep in mind.
