KA9Q In the Washington Post

Last Friday, June 16th, The Washington Post ran an article "An Electric
Car, Booted" about the Smithsonian's National Museum of American
History's removal of the GM EV1 electric car from it's exhibition space.

Quoted in the article is AMSAT's own Phil Karn, KA9Q:

"Phil Karn, a vice president for technology at Qualcomm in San Diego,
drove the Smithsonian's car for two years. He leased a second one,
commuting 11 miles each way to work without recharging issues. When the
car was reclaimed, he says, it felt like losing a family pet."

Go Phil!

Enjoy,
