L band dish

Hello
Has anyone tried a primestar dish 36X30 on L band with a 5 1/2 turn helix feed? I also have a 54x48 primestar that I know would work, but it's rather big for my elevation rotor. Also what type of feed would be best for my 12 foot tvro dish on L band. I have an IC1271A and no antenna for it yet.
