I need an amplifier for 70 cm, just 6-10db gain, max. output 15-20 watts,
using 12-14 vdc. I guess the gain could be higher and I could use an
attenuator ahead of the amp. This is for portable satellite use with a
NiMH battery, so it must be small. I'm using something similar--built 30
yrs ago--for 2 mtrs.
I have a brand new Mirage D26N amp, which runs up to 60 watts out for 2
watts in. Bought it for Field Day, but never used except to test it.
Straight-up trade for the right amp!! The D26 isn't suitable for portable
use because it draws way too much current and is too large physically.
Anyone have anything suitable?
Tnx and 73,
Tony, N2UN
