AO-51 38k4 with PCR-1000

Setup for 38k4 BBS on the 02:40 UTC pass over Manitoba (4/19/06)

Antennas were two HyGain Oscar beams with SSB preamps for both bands and ~70
feet of LMR400.

Downlink signal into an Icom PCR-1000 (Mode FM; Filter 50KHz); audio output
from the 96k port was routed into the TNC. Doppler Control for the PCR-1000
via Ham Radio Deluxe.

Uplink via TS-2000 with SatPC32 for doppler and antenna control.

The TNC is a TNC7multi with a 38k4 board. WISP software (MSPE) for TNC
control.

In principal the system works. Uplink was much more difficult than usual (on
96k). Most uplink requests were not acknowledged by AO-51. Downlink worked
with directory request and file download. Efficiency varied largely.

Hope this helps.
